Kayak and paddle board rentals and guided tours on Lake Chapala, based in Ajijic. Run by Joe, who grew up on the lake and has 10+ years of kayaking and paddle boarding experience. He knows every cove, launch point and sunset spot. • Rentals: 2 hours from $500 MXN per kayak, full day (6 am to 7 pm) $1,100 MXN, tandem kayaks available. Life vest, emergency whistle and waterproof bag included. • Guided tours with Joe: sunrise or sunset paddles from Ajijic to San Antonio (beginner, 2 hours), a seafood tour to Alacrán (Scorpion) Island from Chapala (intermediate, 4 to 5 hours) and a full lake crossing from Ajijic to San Luis Soyatlán (advanced, 6 to 8 hours).
