That works. But it's fragile. The best recommendations live in someone's phone. The most reliable vendors have no online presence. The cleanest rentals are never listed publicly.
Homes, trusted services, and the people who make introductions. Locals and operators help shape what goes in. Nothing gets added just to fill space.
We're starting with people
we already know.
Most of the best local knowledge in Puerto travels by word of mouth — a recommendation in a group chat, an introduction over mezcal, a vendor someone's used for three years and trusts completely. That's the thing we want to formalize. And we can't do it without the people who already hold that knowledge.
We're not doing a big public launch. We're not running ads. We're starting deliberately small — reaching out to people we know in Puerto — because we want to get this right before we open it up further.

If people already come to you for recommendations about living here — the Local Connector role is built for people like you. It's not a marketing role. It's formalizing what you already do, with recognition and support for the value you create.

Local Connector network is running in early form — a small group of connectors active in Puerto.
Lake Chapala is ready but not fully promoted yet.
No broad public launch. No paid ads. Not until we're confident in the quality.
We are being deliberately slow. We've seen what happens when networks launch with volume before trust.
A note from the founders
Anyone who's spent real time in Puerto knows how hard it is to navigate the first few months. Finding a decent place to live, figuring out who's reliable, knowing what's worth doing and what to avoid — it all depends on who you happen to know.
That's been our experience too. The information lives with people, not on platforms. But it means the experience of arriving or settling in is incredibly uneven. Some people land well. Most spend weeks figuring things out by trial and error.
We don't want to be the Google of Puerto Escondido. We want to be the network — honest, local, built on the kinds of relationships that make this place work.
